Instructions according to § 18 Batteriegesetz – BattG (Battery law)
Alongside the sale of batteries or of items that contain batteries, we ] as a supplier are obligated to, as stated by § 18 BatterieG, to inform you of the following:
End users of a product are required by law to return/ ensure proper disposal of used batteries. Used batteries can be returned to our address, shown above, or to any designated collection station (eg. public collection facilities or to designated collection containers found in many retail stores). Batteries may also be returned to us by mail. The postage will be refunded to you by us for the return of batteries by mail.
The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:
The crossed out waste bin means that the battery cannot be disposed of with household waste.
Pb = Pb = The battery contains more than 0,004 % by mass of Lead
Cd = Cd = The battery contains more than 0,002 % by mass of Cadmium
Hg = The battery contains more than 0,0005 % by mass of Quicksilver.
