When the container ship „Ever Given“ got stuck in the Suez Canal at the beginning of 2021, the worldwide industry experienced for the first time what the real consequences could be if the supply chain were disrupted. Companies that rely on production in faraway countries can find themselves in serious trouble if logistical circumstances suddenly make it impossible to have goods delivered.

fleur ami wants to counteract this with its production facility in Kosovo, so we offer our customers and interested companies the possibility to produce many products with us in Europe, thus eliminating the risk of supply interruption.

Production in the EU is a quality factor that should not be underestimated and has a favorable effect on customer acceptance. „Made in Europe“ stands not only for maximum quality, but also for fair working conditions and short transport routes. Since the German population in particular shows great interest in sustainable living and fair business conditions, the introduction of the Europe label alone can contribute to an increase in buying interest.

fleur ami production facility in Kosovo works with high quality materials

We use various sustainable materials for the production of our product groups, such as the composite material Ecostone, which is made of natural raw materials and is completely non-toxic for the consumer. We produce indoor and outdoor planters, but decorative objects and much more are also part of fleur ami’s extensive range.

Other materials that are used in our company include:

• GRP, FRP & GRFP materials
• glass fiber reinforced natural cement
• synthetic resin

Goods made from GRP materials produced directly in Europe

The fiber-plastic composite material GRP is made of thermosetting synthetic resin and convinces by its low dead weight with high stability. As a weather- and frost-resistant material, GRP materials are suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

In addition to planters, GRP is also used to make disposable products such as yogurt pots, containers and pipes, playground equipment for children, and much more. It is a versatile material that allows you to have your product groups produced directly in Europe.

Glass fiber reinforced natural cement - ideal for all outdoor areas

Our product groups are also made of glass fiber reinforced natural cement, whose properties are particularly suitable for all outdoor installations.

Since glass-fiber reinforced natural cement is an extremely stable and weather-resistant natural material, it is used, among other things, in the production of planters. However, this particularly hard cement is also used for room dividers and columns in gardens, on terraces, balconies or parks on your company premises.

We would also like to manufacture our customers‘ products from this material, processing in our production plant is possible within Europe.

Synthetic resin - excellent not only for demanding artists

There are various special synthetic resins used in many areas of industry, such as:

• artificial resin
• ace resin
• oil-soluble resin / oil-reactive resin
• aminoplastic synthetic resin
• synthetic resin paint

In boat building, for example, the robust plastic is used to ensure optimum swimming conditions and a reliable sealing of the boat. But resin is also used in the interior finishing of rooms, for the production of kitchen counters, floors and furniture.

For purely decorative purposes, it is mainly sculptures, pictures or even jewelry that are cast from liquid synthetic resin. We process resin in our production facility into a variety of objects according to customer specifications, which can be sold directly without long transport routes as from the Far East.

Quality is fleur amis highest goal in European production

In 2017, we decided to rely on our own production facility in Pristina, Kosovo. Since then, we have been manufacturing planters based on resin or with concrete fiberglass reinforcement. Why we took this step is easy to explain.

Our production lines are primarily designed to meet the needs of our customers. We do not only want to sell, but we care that our customers are really satisfied with their product. We can guarantee that, through top quality from Europe, made by ourselves - made by fleur ami.

Certainly production in the Far East is a common way to have a large number of products manufactured cheaply in factories. But we at fleur ami have often been asked by our customers in the past about what the working conditions are like, how sure we are about the quality, and whether we don’t think about all the emissions that occur during transport.

As a transparent and fair working company, we could not always answer all these questions with a clear conscience. But now that we produce in Europe ourselves, we know exactly what we offer our customers: We rely on an experienced team of craftsmen trained in Europe, which works for us under fair working conditions.

We work with German machines and raw materials from Germany, whose origin we can vouch for. This gives fleur ami the opportunity to award all products the coveted „Made in EU“ seal. This is a sign that it is a high-quality and fairly manufactured product.

Why we would also like to produce for your company

We already have some customers for whom we have gone into production and who are highly satisfied with the fleur ami results. Even if companies are always in competition with each other, we are all united by the desire to show economic strength, but without forgetting the ethical origins.

Fast, cheap and sometimes even harmful productions may help to jump up in the short term, but for fleur ami the desirable goal is to produce and sell in good conscience.

Since not every company has the opportunity to establish its own production facility, we would like to offer our services and manufacture suitable product lines in our halls in Kosovo. At fair conditions, under humane working conditions and with the good feeling of security that supply chain bottlenecks, such as those caused by the disaster in the Suez Canal, are no longer the order of the day.

Our raw materials are all from controlled sources and even though we primarily manufacture planters, there are significantly more options that we are happy to discuss with our potential new customers at the manufacturing facility.
